On November 5, 2026, at the Teatro Zandonai in Rovereto, Koppelia_giardino13 will be performed, a show that reinterprets the famous 19th-century ballet through contemporary technologies. Coppélia, a mechanical doll to be admired, becomes an autonomous and sentient entity that observes humanity from the outside and captures its fragility and contradictions, starting with the relationship with the planet. On stage: four dancers, a robot dog, and a motion capture system that reads body movements without markers. Contemporary dance, visual arts, and robotics intertwine with a scenic backdrop made of films and 3D environments, which becomes part of the story. The duration is only 30 minutes, a concentrate of innovation and reflection. The show is part of the Viva! series curated by Compagnia Abbondanza/Bertoni.
