Original materials and maps of the area are on display at the Town Hall of Mezzano in view of the publication of the Trentino Toponymic Dictionary dedicated to Mezzano and Imer. The project is based on field research carried out in 1994 and 1995, which collected 1,075 place names. Citizens are invited to consult the geographical maps and related lists, verify the accuracy of the indications and report missing or imprecise toponyms by filling in the appropriate form available on site. Many place names survive only in the memory of the elderly and of those who live in the mountains. The initiative is promoted by the Municipality of Mezzano. On Wednesday 4 November 2026 at 4.30 pm, a meeting will be held at the Town Hall with Lydia Floss, Graziano Cosner and Mauro Cecco to explain how to add new toponyms and correct existing ones, with a presentation of explanatory slides.
