Viva Pinocchio! 200 years with Collodi
Biblioteca civica di Arco
Organised by Comune di Arco - Biblioteca civica di Arco
In 2026 marks the two hundredth anniversary of the birth of Carlo Collodi, and the civic library of Arco celebrates it with "Viva Pinocchio!", a series of three events dedicated to the novel and to children's literature. It starts on Wednesday 18 November at 5 pm with "Storie a merenda con Pinocchio", an animated reading by Elisa Salvini for children aged 5 to 10, featuring Pinocchio, the Cat and the Fox, and the Talking Cricket. On 24 November, the writer's birthday, "Tra le righe di Pinocchio" invites participants to bring along a famous quote from the book. The series closes on Saturday 5 December at 10.30 am with "Naso di legno", a theatrical narration by Anna and Elena Finessi (Le mangiastorie) for children aged 4 to 10, also designed for parents and accompanying adults. The initiative is organised by the Municipality of Arco with the civic library, as part of the Sistema bibliotecario trentino.
